Philadelphia to ‘Invest’ nearly 20 Million in the Arts

In Thursdays Philadelphia Inquire article, Plan Points way to City’s Cultivation of the Arts showcases the city’s commitment to the arts.  The plan is to fund art and music in the schools and support struggling non-profits. This is good for all artists, art organizations and business in the city.

My favorite quote from the article, “Kluger is quick to recognize the ‘unprecedented financial’ challenges facing the school district, but he said funding for the arts should not be automatically slashed: ‘Art and music are as important for a human being’s self-actualization as being able to do math.'”
